We researched French speaking countries. Did you know that there are 29 French speaking countries and many of them are in Africa? We decided to create our own African masks representing an emotion. Also for Art we studied the artist Claude Monet and recreated our own version of 'Water lily pond'. During the sequence of lessons we learned about impressionism, the process of gradation (shifting focus from one colour to another). We developed our understanding and use of French as a language and sung 'Head, shoulders, knees and feet' to the audience.
