Persuasive Presentations

In English, we've been reading the story One Plastic Bag, which is based upon the real story of Isatou Ceesay and the recycling women of Gambia. At the start of the story, Isatou's palm leaf basket breaks, so we worked in groups to create our own basket that fulfilled 4 criteria; deep, strong, secure, and has a way to hold it. We held our own version of dragons den. We wrote persuasive speeches using features such as rhetorical questions and emotive language to persuade the dragons (our teachers) that our basket was the best.

4F Tower of London Trip

It feels like year ago, but just 4 short weeks ago, 4 Farah were off on our trip to the thrilling Tower of London. We saw dazzling jewels, discovered horrifying torture devices and heard the mysterious story of the two princes.
Enjoy looking through this gallery of pictures of our time there.
